This is an excerpt of important statements made by General Secretary Xi Jinping from December 2012 to March 2025.

The article emphasizes that party conduct is related to the survival of the ruling party. Conduct building is related to whether our party can govern for a long time and fulfill its governing mission. Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, we have directly addressed various problems and shortcomings within the party, starting with the formulation and implementation of the Central Eight-Point Regulation, solving the problems of what to focus on and how to implement conduct building under the new circumstances, and promoting the comprehensive and strict governance of the party. Through the revolutionary forging of comprehensive and strict governance of the party in the new era, the situation of lax discipline and floating conduct has significantly changed, an atmosphere of genuine, strict, and long-term management has been basically formed, party and government conduct has been completely renewed, social and public morals have continued to improve, and the image of the party in the hearts of the people has been reshaped.

The article points out that the guiding ideology of the Eight-Point Regulation is strict requirements, reflecting the party's need to govern the party and strictly govern the party, starting with the Central Political Bureau to improve work conduct.
