He emphasized that since the new era, the efforts to advance full and strict governance over the Party and the anti-corruption struggle have been unprecedented in scale and the results are evident. We must always maintain the unwavering determination to fight corruption, maintain strategic resolve and a high-pressure posture, without stopping for a moment or giving an inch, comprehensively promoting the inability, unwillingness, and lack of opportunity to engage in corruption, and resolutely winning this tough battle, protracted war, and overall war.
Members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, and Ding Xuexiang attended the meeting. Li Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, presided over the meeting.
Xi Jinping pointed out that in 2024, the Party Central Committee adhered to the principle of leading social revolution with the Party's self-revolution and consistently promoted full and strict governance over the Party, achieving new progress and results. The whole Party has a clearer understanding and firmer actions on the major issue of self-revolution; solid progress has been made in Party discipline education, and the awareness of compliance with regulations and discipline among Party members has significantly increased; efforts to combat corruption have been continuously intensified, eliminating the soil and conditions for corruption; concentrated efforts have been made to rectify unhealthy practices and corruption among the masses, resolving a large number of prominent issues that the masses have strongly complained about; and Party governance through systems and regulations has been deepened, further improving the Party's ability to lead the anti-corruption struggle and promote full and strict governance over the Party.
Xi Jinping stressed that corruption is the greatest threat facing our Party, and anti-corruption is the most thorough self-revolution. Entering the new era, faced with prominent problems in Party conduct, integrity, and anti-corruption, we have adhered to the principle of investigating and punishing all corrupt officials, continuously purifying the ranks of cadres, safeguarding the Party's image, consolidating the red regime, winning the historical initiative to ensure that the Party does not change its nature, color, or flavor, and winning the historical initiative for the Party to unite and lead the people of all ethnic groups in the common struggle for national rejuvenation and the great cause of building a strong country.
Xi Jinping pointed out that the current situation in the anti-corruption struggle remains severe and complex. The existing stock of corruption has not been eliminated, and the incremental amount is still increasing, and the task of eliminating the soil and conditions for corruption remains arduous and challenging. In understanding the anti-corruption struggle, we must have a historical perspective and strategic height, focusing on achieving the Party's mission and tasks. The anti-corruption struggle must be unswervingly carried out; any hesitation, wavering, relaxation, or half-heartedness will be a subversive mistake. We must resolutely clarify various erroneous understandings, clear up ideological confusion, and further strengthen our determination and confidence in the anti-corruption struggle.
