Lean Production: A Big Discussion - What They Said
Crosslinking Plant
Lean production in a nutshell: Everything must be "refined" (in terms of quality, cost, and delivery time, etc.) to outperform competitors and survive. First, we must strengthen our own learning. Only when managers understand the essence of lean thinking can they instill it in employees and make them understand the purpose and significance of lean production. Based on the policy objectives, we should cooperate, clarify responsibilities, and promote projects such as quick mold change, defect rate, and training.
Integrated Work Department
Lean production is a mindset; it's about creating maximum efficiency with minimal resources. It's a never-ending pursuit of leanness, with the customer as our service focus…
Technical Quality Department
The core of lean production is to think from the customer's perspective. Although the goals of this department are challenging, they can be achieved with more refined management, attention to detail, effective communication with other departments, and leveraging product development for efficiency gains.
Finance Department
Purchasing Department
For the purchasing department, cost reduction and inventory control are key tasks. Maintaining professional sensitivity to raw material price trends and conducting effective supplier assessments are powerful improvement measures for enhancing job performance.

At this company-wide discussion on lean production for middle managers, with the general manager's full participation, unit heads discussed their understanding of lean production based on their own positions; how to use lean production concepts to help achieve annual goals; how to solve problems through lean production; and improvements and enhancements to their own work. Before this, most management departments had more or less doubts, and some departments even believed that "lean production" was only related to "production" and not to "management." However, as lean production training and guidance progressed, the level of understanding gradually permeated from the surface to the core.
To enhance the "lean production" awareness of all employees and promote the orderly progress of lean production work in various units to achieve the goal of upgrading enterprise development and management, the company has made meticulous plans for the promotion of lean thinking, conducting discussions at different levels, departments, and positions, covering all employees from managers to team leaders to frontline workers. The Integrated Work Department is responsible for tracking each discussion and evaluating it, making it a new indicator for evaluating unit management work. Through layer-by-layer transmission and action, the concept of "lean production" is recognized and accepted by employees, who proactively start with small things, consider various aspects, draw inspiration from processes, and form ingrained work habits to achieve the ultimate "lean" goal.
After the discussion, Li Guodong, the company's vice general manager, gave comments, and General Manager Xiong Shuo made five requests based on the discussion:
1. Strengthen planning and increase proactive planning and innovation;
2. Focus on process execution, use learning to guide practice, and use practice to digest learning;
3. Make lean reflection and summary the theme of monthly appraisals;
4. Publish improvement results (reward fulfillment and standardization);
5. Push to the limit and challenge the impossible.
In short, we once again advocate that all employees improve their lean production awareness, establish and improve refined management standards, build a high-efficiency cooperative elite team, continuously innovate, and put lean production into practice.
Through this learning and discussion, the understanding and awareness of "lean production" among managerial employees has been deepened, playing a positive and effective role in promoting the lean production concept and creating a strong learning atmosphere for lean production. Next, the discussion will extend to various factories and teams, setting off the first wave of learning in the Year of the Ox.
