The torch of the 9th Asian Winter Games will be lit tonight. From the Beijing Winter Olympics to the Harbin Asian Winter Games, China's "ice and snow fever" has spread across the country, injecting vitality into the world's winter sports. The number of participating countries and regions and athletes has reached a record high in the history of the Asian Winter Games. I believe that with the joint efforts of the Olympic Council of Asia and the delegations from various countries and regions, Harbin will present the world with a "Chinese characteristic, Asian style, and exciting" sports event, writing a new chapter in ice and snow.

The theme of this Asian Winter Games is "Ice and Snow Dreams, Asian Hearts," carrying the common aspirations and pursuit of the Asian people for peace, development, and friendship.

We must uphold the common dream of peace and harmony. Peace is as pure as ice and snow. No matter how the international situation changes, we must work together to meet various security challenges and contribute Asian strength to a multipolar world that is equal and orderly.

We must adhere to the common pursuit of prosperity and development. The charm of winter sports lies in passion and cooperation. We must work together to promote development and inject inexhaustible impetus into inclusive and beneficial economic globalization.

We must realize the common wish of mutual understanding and affinity. The snowflakes are varied and diverse, and different civilizations also have their own unique charm. Asia is a gathering place for diverse civilizations in the world. We must promote mutual tolerance, coexistence, and exchange and learning, and make greater contributions to the progress of human civilization.

Harbin is a famous "Ice City" in China and the birthplace of modern winter sports in China. Coming to Harbin, we truly feel that "ice and snow are also mountains of gold and silver."
