Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Russia are each other's largest neighbors, and both are major world powers and major emerging market countries. In the 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, based on the fundamental interests of the two countries and their peoples, and on the basis of drawing profound lessons from historical experience, both sides have continuously upgraded and improved China-Russia relations. Eternal good-neighborly friendship, comprehensive strategic cooperation, and mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation have become the most essential characteristics of the bilateral relationship. Especially since the new era, under the joint strategic guidance of President Putin and myself, in the face of changes unseen in a century, the political mutual trust between the two sides has continued to deepen, pragmatic cooperation has yielded significant results, and generations of friendship have taken root in the hearts of the people. Putin stated that on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations. Three-quarters of a century ago, our country was the first in the world to recognize the People's Republic of China and quickly established close cooperative relations with New China. The close and mutually beneficial relations between Russia and China have successfully withstood the test of time. Currently, Russia-China relations are at their highest level in history.
